Leveling versus stabilizing, and where each part lives

Two jobs get mixed up constantly under here. Lifting and leveling is spring-and-jack work — carrying weight and setting ride height. Stabilizing is a separate task: taking the bounce out after you are parked. The four categories split along that line.

• Leaf Springs & Equalizers — replacement trailer springs, shackle kits, and equalizers to fix a sagging or worn-out axle suspension.
• Stabilizer Jacks — scissor, telescoping, and tripod jacks that steady a parked rig so it stops rocking when you move around inside.
• Suspension Upgrades — wheel bearings, lug nuts, U-bolts, air springs, and the hardware that keeps the running gear healthy.
• Tongue & Landing Jacks — the front jacks that lift a travel trailer or fifth wheel to couple, uncouple, and level nose-to-tail.

If the rig sits crooked or rides rough, start with springs and equalizers; if it holds steady on the road but shakes at camp, you want stabilizer jacks. Size each part to your axle rating so nothing goes on underrated.
