How the three solar subcategories fit together

Where you start depends on what you already own. If you have batteries but nothing to charge them from the sun, begin with panels. If you have panels but no regulation, you need a controller. If both are sorted and you're staring at a bag of mismatched wire, it's the connectors and entry plate that are missing.
