Sorting out RV toilet types and parts
Which category you need depends mostly on whether your rig has a black tank plumbed in. A fixed RV toilet drains straight down into that tank and flushes with your onboard water; a portable or cassette toilet carries its own waste holding and gets emptied at a dump station or into a home toilet. Both wear out at the seal long before the bowl does, which is the third piece here.
