Leveling Blocks & Chocks
Every setup at a new site runs the same short sequence: raise the low side so the trailer sits flat, give the jack feet something solid to press against, then wedge the tires so nothing creeps. How the three categories fit together
Leveling and stabilizing are separate jobs done in order. Blocks under the low-side tires get the trailer flat, chocks hold it there, and only then do the jacks come down onto pads. Each category below owns one step of that sequence.
- Leveling Blocks. Interlocking pads you stack and curved ramps you drive onto, both meant to raise the low side before the jacks ever move. Start here when the trailer is leaning.
- Jack Pads. Wide bases that sit under stabilizer and scissor jack feet so the foot spreads its load instead of punching into grass or soft shoulder. They stop the rig from settling overnight.
- Wheel Chocks. Anything that keeps the trailer from rolling, from basic ramp chocks up to the locking X-style chocks that wedge between tandem tires and cut the rock.
