RV A/C & Appliance Covers
The rooftop A/C shroud is thin molded plastic sitting in direct sun all day, and sunlight is what kills it: the housing yellows, turns brittle, and eventually cracks or blows off on the highway. A storage cover like the Classic Accessories RV air conditioner cover keeps that UV off the shroud so it stays flexible and sealed through the off-season. This category covers rooftop A/C covers along with other exterior appliance and accessory covers.

Fitting a cover to your rooftop A/C
Rooftop units fall into a handful of common footprints, so a cover mostly needs to match the shroud's outside dimensions. The Classic Accessories cover here measures 27.25 inches long, 29 wide, and 14.25 high, which suits many ducted and non-ducted units. Measure your own shroud first, since low-profile and standard housings differ by a few inches that decide whether the fit is snug.
- Measure the shroud, not the roof opening. The cover wraps the plastic housing, so its length, width, and height are what matter. Too large and it flaps and leaks sun at the seams; too small and it won't seat.
- Use UV-rated fabric. Blocking sun is the whole job, so the cover has to resist it too. Treated poly or vinyl holds up for seasons, while a bargain cover can break down faster than the shroud it protects.
- Check that it holds in wind. An elastic hem or straps keep the cover seated. A rooftop cover that lifts in a gust is gone, and so is the reason you bought it.
- Treat it as storage-only. Pull the cover before you drive. It is meant for the months the rig sits, not for the road.
If the shroud is already cracked, a cover can't undo that; start with a replacement from A/C covers and shrouds. While you have the roof in mind, the covers in tire covers handle the other big UV casualty on a parked rig, and a full RV cover shields the shroud, roof, and sidewalls together for long storage.
