Two things age an RV parked outdoors more than anything else: ultraviolet light and trapped moisture. Sun bakes the roof and sidewalls, cracks tire rubber, and fades decals, while water that can't drain rots seals and freezes into splits. Where to start with RV covers
Few rigs need every cover on this page, but almost every rig has at least one part that will outlast the coach if you keep the sun off it. Sort these four categories by what sits most exposed on your setup.
- Full RV Covers wrap the whole coach for winter storage or long off-season stretches, sized by length and profile to keep sun and water off the roof and sidewalls.
- A/C & Appliance Covers fit the rooftop air conditioner shroud and other exterior appliances that yellow and crack under UV.
- Tire Covers block the sunlight that dry-rots sidewalls, and the category also carries the hub and wheel trim that weathers alongside them.
- Hitch & Accessory Covers handle the small exposed parts: propane tank covers, hub covers, wiper and louver covers, and similar odds and ends.
For a rig that lives outdoors year-round, the tires and the A/C shroud are the cheapest wins. For seasonal storage, a full cover earns its price the first spring you skip re-sealing a sun-baked roof.
