RV Cleaning, Wax & Care
An RV takes weather a car never sees: it parks outside for weeks, bakes under UV, and streaks black off its own roof in every rain. Left alone, sun, road grime, tree sap, and standing water shorten the life of the roof, decals, awning, and paint. This section splits the work into the products that handle each part: soaps and waxes for painted and fiberglass sides, targeted cleaners for stubborn messes, rubber-roof formulas, and protectants that block UV before it does damage. Pick the category matching your rig's worst problem and go from there.

Where to start with RV cleaning and care
Match the formula to the surface, because chemistry that suits one material can wreck another: a wax made for painted fiberglass will gum up a rubber roof, and a household cleaner can strip a UV coating right off. Sort by what you are up against:
- Wash & Wax. Soaps, carnauba and cleaner waxes, polishes, compounds, and the mitts and handles to apply them: routine washing and paint protection for painted and fiberglass exteriors.
- Specialty Cleaners. The targeted stuff, like black streak remover, bug and tar remover, awning cleaner, metal polish, and iron and wheel cleaners for messes ordinary soap won't touch.
- Rubber-Roof Care. Cleaners and conditioners made specifically for EPDM and TPO rubber roofs, which need different chemistry than the rest of the rig.
- Protectants. UV blockers and conditioners for vinyl, rubber, leather, and fabric, the products that prevent fading and cracking instead of cleaning up after it.
Most owners keep something from all four going through a season. Clean first, then protect: a UV spray or wax only holds on a surface already free of grime.
