Steps & Ladders
Getting in and out of the rig, and up onto the roof to reseal it, both come down to the same few parts wearing out or breaking. This branch splits into the entry steps under your door, the ladders bolted to the back cap and stored in the bunk, and the rugs and treads that keep the whole thing from turning slick. Sorting out steps and ladders for your RV
Three different jobs live under this heading, and they don't overlap much. One gets you through the door, one gets you up to the roof or down from the bunk, and one keeps the footing safe once you're there. Pin down which of the three you're dealing with and head straight there.
- Entry Steps. Electric Kwikee and Lippert step assemblies, the Solid Step and manual folding steps, plus the motors, jamb switches, and wet-bolt hardware to rebuild the one you have.
- RV Ladders. Rear roof-access ladders, telescoping ladders for reaching the roof from the ground, bunk ladders for the kids, and the stand-offs, brackets, and feet that keep them solid.
- Step Covers & Rugs. Wrap-around step rugs, non-skid tread strips, and the replacement springs and treads that keep a worn set safe underfoot.
Most repairs here start with one failed piece, not a whole new assembly. Match the brand and series you already have, and you'll usually spend a fraction of a full replacement.
