RV Sewer Hoses & Kits
A sewer hose gets dragged across gravel, folded into a bumper compartment, and asked to carry everything your tanks let go of, so its construction is what separates the ones that last from the ones that split. This category covers the hoses and the pieces around them: heavy triple-wrap vinyl in 10- and 20-foot lengths, collapsible extensions, bayonet-fit sections, rubber end caps, and complete kits with the fittings pre-attached.

Picking a sewer hose that lasts
Thin-wall hose is where most complaints start — it punctures on the first sharp rock and splits at the fittings after a season in the sun. What you pay for in a better one is wall thickness, reinforcement, and fittings that lock instead of pop. Match the length to how far your outlet sits from a typical dump inlet, and keep an extension on hand for the sites where it's farther than you'd like.
- Wall construction. Heavier is better here. The Valterra EZ Flush triple-wrap and Silverback 24-mil polypropylene hoses resist crushing and punctures far better than thin-wall hose, and they hold their shape when you're steering flow downhill.
- Length and extensions. A 20-foot hose (like the EZ Flush bronze) covers most sites; a 10-foot handles close hookups without excess to store. A 5-foot collapsible extension bridges the odd long reach without carrying a second full hose.
- Fittings and end caps. Bayonet fittings twist-lock to your rig and to adapters; the Thetford Titan uses a bayonet connection with a durable TPE hose. Rubber press-fit end caps like the Titan set keep the ends sealed and clean in storage.
- Complete kits. A kit like the Camco Superkit gives you the hose, connectors, and storage caps in one box, which is the simplest way to start from scratch or replace a whole worn setup.
A hose only drains fully if it runs downhill the whole way, so pair it with a sewer hose support to hold the slope. At the dump end, a clear elbow and the right adapter from tank fittings let you see when the water runs clean and seal into the ground inlet.
