Wheel Chocks
Chocks are the part nobody thinks about until a trailer rolls, and on a slope that happens fast. Two jobs show up in this category: plain chocks that brace a tire against the ground, and locking chocks like the BAL X-Chock that clamp between tandem tires to take out the sway you feel walking around inside. You'll find molded ramp-style chocks and heavy steel locking versions here, sized for single and dual-axle trailers.

Choosing the right wheel chocks
Your axle setup decides most of this. A single-axle trailer wants a solid chock ahead of and behind the tire, and that's it. Add a second axle and the locking chocks open up, the ones that wedge between the tires and do two jobs at once, stopping roll and taking out the rock you feel when someone crosses the floor.
- Single-axle chocks. One standard chock in front of the tire and one behind holds a single-axle trailer steady. The BAL single-axle locking chock adjusts from 16.5 to 23 inches and wears an anti-rust coating for the ones that stay outside year-round.
- Tandem locking chocks. The BAL X-Chock and its extended-fit version ratchet between two tires on a tandem axle, tensioning against both at once to lock the pair solid. This is the cure for a rig that rocks underfoot; the extended version reaches wide-track axles out to 17 inches.
- Interlocking and ramp chocks. The Tri-Lynx Chock 'R Dock and Camco leveling-block chocks work with a leveling-block setup, catching the wheel right where the ramp ends so both systems hold together.
- Material and security. Molded chocks stay light and rustproof. Steel ones like the X-Chock and the Blaylock EZ-100 carry more load and add theft resistance, the Blaylock being a locking leveler aimed at dual-axle security.
Chock every time, and do it right after you reach level, since a trailer parked on leveling blocks will happily roll back off the ramp. Once it's chocked, drop the stabilizers onto jack pads and finish the setup.
