Organizing an RV that moves

Storage in a moving rig has one extra test a house never applies: will it still hold over a washboard road. Every piece here is built to pass that test rather than just look tidy on a shelf.

• Rubber tool and rod holders. Whitecap's spring-rubber holders grip broom handles, fishing rods, and tools by diameter. Check the size — 3/8-inch, 1-inch, and up — against what you're hanging so it holds without being forced.
• Cleats and door hooks. A 6-inch nylon cleat gives you a tie-down point for rope up to 3/4 inch; the chrome-plated brass cabin hook holds a door open on breezy days so it isn't banging the frame.
