Picking the right RV bathroom faucet or repair part

Before you buy a whole faucet, figure out whether the leak is the faucet or just a worn cartridge. A dripping spout or a handle that won't shut off is almost always a cartridge or seat problem, and a handle set or knob swap costs a fraction of a full replacement. If the body itself is cracked or the deck holes don't line up, then it's time for a complete unit.

• Diverter vs. plain lavatory. Many RV bathroom faucets — like the Dura Faucet units here — include a shower diverter that redirects flow to a handheld wand. If your rig showers off the sink valve, match a diverter model; if it has a separate shower valve, a plain two-handle faucet is fine.
• Cartridge and handle fit. Replacement parts are brand-specific. Dura Faucet's hot/cold sets and knobs are cut for their DF-RK200 cartridge, and Empire/American Brass handles fit their own stems. Match the brand before you order.
• Handle style. Winged levers, two-handle knobs, smoked acrylic, or crystal — pick for grip and looks, but confirm it seats on your existing valve if you're only swapping handles.
• Finish. Chrome, brushed satin nickel, and oil-rubbed bronze are the common RV finishes. Match your shower wand and trim so the bathroom reads as a set.

If you're rebuilding the whole wet bath, it's worth doing the faucet, wand, and any worn parts in one shot. The matching galley faucet and a fresh sink stopper or strainer round out the job while you've got the water shut off.
