RV Windows & Seals
Two jobs share this category: the crank handles, knobs, and seals that let an RV's windows open and close tight, and the wiper blades that keep a motorhome windshield clear. Window cranks and tri-lug knobs from JR Products replace the ones that strip out, while Scrubblade, Rain-X, and beam-style blades handle the front glass in sizes from 12 up to 20 inches.

Window hardware, seals, and wiper blades
A window that will not crank, a slow leak, a wiper that smears: the repairs differ, but each hinges on matching small measurements like shaft size, seal profile, or blade length. Here is what each one involves:
- Crank handles. A window crank such as the JR Products metal handle with a 1-3/4-inch arm replaces one that has cracked or spins free. Match the arm length and how it mounts to the operator.
- Window knobs. Tri-lug knobs and thumb knobs, including the JR Products 9/16-inch and tri-lug versions here, grip the shaft that opens vent and awning windows. Match the shaft size and lug pattern so it seats and turns.
- Seals and weatherstrip. A leaking window usually traces to the seal rather than the glass. Match the profile and width of the existing weatherstrip so the new seal compresses correctly on closing; undersized leaves a gap, oversized keeps the window from seating.
- Wiper blades. Motorhome windshields take automotive-style blades. Measure the old blade and match the length, since 12, 14, 16, and 20 inches are all common here. Beam-style and silicone blades like the Scrubblade and Rain-X Latitude follow curved glass more closely and outlast basic frame blades.
Measure before you order, because blade length and seal profile leave no margin. If a leak turns out to be coming from above the window rather than the seal, the fix moves to roof sealants and coatings, while screen door hardware is covered in screen doors.
