Rebuilding the inside of your fridge

A fridge that still cools perfectly can be a daily headache if the door won't latch or the shelves won't stay put. Nearly every interior piece is available on its own, so you can fix the annoyance without touching the sealed system or buying a new unit. Match parts to your Norcold model number, since panel sizes and latch styles vary across the 7, 8, and 10 series.

• Door latches. A worn or broken latch, like the black Norcold replacement, lets the door pop open on rough roads — the fastest way to lose a fridge full of food. This is the first thing to fix if the door won't stay shut.
• Shelf retainers and dividers. Wire shelf retainers and crisper dividers keep contents organized and stop shelves from sliding out when you open the door after a drive.
• Bin doors and panels. Cracked crisper lids, bin doors, and interior panels — bottom panels for the N841LMR, top door panels for the 7/8/10 series — restore the fit and finish inside without a full replacement.
• Travel security. A magnetic, adjustable door block wedges the fridge door open just enough to air out in storage, or braces it during travel so it can't swing free — a small part that saves a big mess.
