Big mat, small rug, and the brush at the step
The big mat you spread under the awning and the little rug that catches grit at the step do different jobs, and most rigs want both. Size and material are what separate a mat that lasts from one that molds in a season.
- Awning mats, the big ones. Reversible woven mats like Camco's come in sizes up to 8' x 20' to cover the whole space under the awning. The open weave lets water and sand fall through instead of pooling, and UV-resistant material holds its color against the sun.
