Husky's 26KW with Glider solves it by mounting the hitch head on a slider that gives up to 10 inches of travel, and this kit packages the head, upright and glider under a single part number.

The wrap-around jaw closes fully around a 2-inch king pin and cuts metal-to-metal contact, which makes for a quieter ride. The ergonomic handle and latch release without the pulling and twisting of older designs and do not bind on uneven ground. The glider rides on two matched composite wear surfaces built for high loads and weather, with yellow zinc chromate hardware to resist corrosion, and the whole unit mounts to Husky rails or any standard rails in the 22-5/8 inch footprint.
