Some seams on an RV just aren't straight lines - S-locks, skylight frames, and irregular trim need a sealant that can follow the shape without leaving gaps. Dicor's butyl tape comes on a continuous roll, so you can run it around a curve or corner without splicing or patching.
It's a high-tack adhesive with flexible elastomers, so it grips on contact and stays pliable rather than hardening and cracking. Used under a caulk-and-frame setup, it adds a second layer of leak protection beneath the visible seal. Surfaces need to be clean and dry before application, and it shouldn't be stretched during install.
Handy for window and vent frame seals, skylights, and any joint where a rigid sealant would crack.
