Safety chains are required by law in most states, and this CURT chain gives you a heavy-duty backup connection between trailer and tow vehicle in case the coupler ever comes loose. It's built from 5/16-inch diameter, grade-70 certified steel links with a zinc-plated finish to resist rust.
A pre-attached clevis hook with a spring-loaded safety latch makes for a secure connection to your hitch's safety chain loops, and at 32 inches long, it gives you room to cross the chains under the coupler as recommended.
Each safety chain assembly should meet or exceed your trailer's gross weight, so check your GTW before matching chains to your setup.
