If the spring assist on a Carefree Fiesta or Spirit awning has weakened or you'd simply rather control extension by hand, this arm set converts the setup to manual crank operation. Aluminum construction keeps the arms light while standing up to sun and road vibration season after season.
Because the arms use the same top and bottom mounting brackets as the original Fiesta and Spirit hardware, installation is mostly removing the old spring components and bolting these arms into the existing holes. An automatic locking mechanism engages once the awning is extended, so it stays put without you having to fuss with a separate latch.
Plan on an afternoon for the swap, and keep in mind the old spring components should be removed carefully since they're under tension.
