When an awning won't retract evenly or the roller feels off, the spring assembly inside the roller tube is usually the culprit. This replacement is sized for Carefree Fiesta, Spirit FX, and Simplicity awnings 18'1" and up, and it ships de-tensioned for safer handling before installation.
Because the spring winds up under significant tension once installed and can unwind rapidly if mishandled, we'd recommend having an experienced installer or RV tech handle this repair.
