The Tekonsha Voyager is a proportional brake controller, meaning it uses an internal inertia sensor to match trailer braking to how hard you're braking the tow vehicle, rather than applying a flat percentage every time you touch the pedal. That gives a smoother, more natural stop across a range of trailer weights and conditions.
A color LED keeps you informed at a glance — green confirms a solid connection to the trailer, shifting toward red as braking power increases. The unit mounts with a snap-in dash clip and Plug & Play connector, so it unclips and stores easily when you're not towing, and a manual lever lets you apply trailer brakes independently if needed.
A vehicle-specific wiring harness (sold separately) is needed to complete the Plug & Play install — check compatibility for your tow vehicle before ordering.
