This Samlex 300A fuse assembly is built to protect DC wiring runs — most commonly the battery-to-inverter cable — from overcurrent damage. Installing it inline gives your system a defined point of failure that protects the more expensive gear downstream.
As with any fuse assembly, size your wire gauge to match the 300A rating so the fuse can actually do its job.
