This lock pin is a low-cost way to add a backup to your coupler latch. Slide it through the latch mechanism and it keeps the coupler from working loose or popping open while you're towing.
It measures 1/4 inch in diameter by 3 inches long and is made from polished metal for corrosion resistance.
Keep a couple of these in the tow vehicle as cheap insurance for your hitch setup.
