Modern tow vehicles with smart alternators vary their charging voltage in ways that can confuse a DC-DC (BCDC) battery charger installed in a trailer. REDARC's RK1260 relay kit solves that by triggering the vehicle's ignition source so the charger knows when to start and stop charging.
