Coating a metal RV, trailer, or mobile-home roof only works if the surface is prepped right, and bare or rusty metal needs a primer first. This Dicor rust-inhibitive primer is formulated to slow further corrosion and give the acrylic topcoat a surface it can really grab onto.

After you knock off loose rust and debris with a wire brush and clean the surface, brush or roll this arctic-white acrylic primer on. It dries to the touch in about two hours and covers roughly 50 square feet per quart, prepping the roof for Dicor's elastomeric metal roof coating.
