Not every campground hookup plays nice with RV plumbing. Some deliver pressure high enough to stress fittings, hose washers, and even your water heater over time. Camco's stainless regulator threads onto the spigot end of your fresh water hose and knocks that pressure down to a consistent 50-60 PSI before it ever reaches your rig.
It's a small, inexpensive piece of gear, but it's cheap insurance against a blown hose or a soaked campsite.
